Madubuike Pulling Double Duty with Two Summer Internships

Scheduled to graduate next summer with a degree in construction management, Obinna Madubuike is one of the hardest-working students in the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management. After completing his first internship of the summer this past month for the facilities department at UF Health Shands, the Ph.D. candidate is currently spending the next two months as a student intern in project management at Stellar in Jacksonville.

Gheisari Receives 2021 ASC International Outstanding Researcher Award

M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management Assistant Professor Masoud Gheisari was presented with the 2021 Associated Schools of Construction International Outstanding Researcher Award earlier this month at the annual ASC International Conference. The award, given annually to a research faculty member at a four-year ASC member school, recognizes the faculty member’s quality of research, contribution to the dissemination of scholarly work within the ASC community and service to the ASC.

Professor Charles Kibert Passes Away

The University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning is mourning the loss of one of its faculty: Dr. Charles Kibert, Holland Professor in the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management and Director of the Powell Center for Construction and Environment. Kibert passed away on Monday, Jan. 25. He was 73.
