As a member of Cool Roofs Indonesia, University of Florida M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management UrbSys Lab Director Dr. Ravi Srinivasan has made it his life’s work to make climate-friendly cooling accessible to all.
A team of four students from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management finished second nationally in the annual Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Student Construction Management Competition. The contest took place at the 2022 ABC Convention in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-17, and featured 14 of the top construction management programs in the country.

Edwards graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree in architecture, before getting his master’s degree in both architecture (2007) and building construction (2009). Three degrees from the UF College of Design, Construction and Planning alone do not achieve greatness. It is possible they help though. And, at the very least, a UF degree gives a graduate a great town to come back to.

University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning graduate Sylvester Lionel (BSBC ’10) grew up in a tough socioeconomic condition that consisted of poverty and struggle. As the son of a construction manager and homemaker, Lionel used his father as inspiration and soon realized he wanted a career in construction as well.
