Safety Yard Officially Opens at UF TREEO Center

Designed to benefit students at the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management and reduce the 150,000 annual injuries on construction job sites, the brand-new Safety Yard at the University of Florida TREEO Center officially opened this past Friday, April 1. Rinker Associate Professor Emeritus Jack Martin Passes Away

The University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning mourns the loss of one of its former faculty members: Jack Martin, retired Associate Professor Emeritus of the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management and a distinguished veteran and retired Colonel of the U.S. Army. Martin passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022. He was 93.

Rinker Team Places Second Nationally in ABC Construction Management Competition

A team of four students from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management finished second nationally in the annual Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Student Construction Management Competition. The contest took place at the 2022 ABC Convention in San Antonio, Texas, March 15-17, and featured 14 of the top construction management programs in the country.

Edwards graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with his bachelor’s degree in architecture, before getting his master’s degree in both architecture (2007) and building construction (2009). Three degrees from the UF College of Design, Construction and Planning alone do not achieve greatness. It is possible they help though.
