Prospective Students

The Rinker School has several options for high school graduates to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.  To be considered for any of the options, you must first apply as a freshman to the University of Florida.  When you are in your Senior year of high school, fill out the UF application online by the deadline.  You can indicate construction management as your major/interest.

Once you apply as a freshman, your application will be considered for both the residential on campus UF freshman admission and for the Gator Design and Construction @ SFC program (joint degree program with Santa Fe College here in Gainesville).  See link below for additional information on the GDC program. In addition, please see application and information for upper division program below.

Upper Division Applications
All lower division students (UF, GDC, Transfer students): Limitations in available staff, faculty, and facilities have made it necessary for the School of Construction Management to limit the number of students entering the junior-level professional program. Satisfactory completion of minimum requirements will not automatically guarantee admission to the upper division program. Priority in admission will be given to those applicants based on their academic record, construction experience and leadership roles upon application submittal. When a student is enrolled in their last semester of prerequisite course work, they must submit their upper division application, personal statement table, transcripts form all schools attended by the application deadline (March 15th for the Fall Semester and September 15th for the Spring Semester).
NOTE: INCOMPLETE Applications will not be considered (e.g., missing personal statement table) by the application deadline.

If you are not admitted as a freshman, you can still apply as a transfer student to the limited access upper division degree program.  To apply as a transfer student, you will need to:

  • Meet UF’s foreign language requirement
  • Obtain an AA degree
  • Complete the prerequisite/preprofessional coursework needed for the Rinker School
    Transferable Coursework
  • Consideration is also given to the number of prerequisite/preprofessional courses remaining, as well as the applicant’s letter of intent/personal statement table.
    Personal Statement Table
  • Complete the UF transfer application by the deadline:

Deadline to apply as a transfer student for Spring semester is September 15th
