When Dean Chimay Anumba arrived in 2016, he touted his vision for the College of Design, Construction and Planning as OneDCP, meaning all disciplines would come together as one. To further this vision, a class was started in Fall 2018 to teach incoming students how the disciplines the college offers often come together and work with each other in the business world.

Every summer, prospective architecture and design students flock to the University of Florida School of Architecture to learn in the amazing environment of the Design Exploration Program (DEP). This year, due to COVID-19, the program will be completely online but the experience promises to be just as rewarding.

Larry Scarpa, FAIA, BDES ’81, M.ARCH ’87, is co-principal of Brooks+Scarpa, a collective of architects, designers and creative thinkers dedicated to enhancing the human experience. Considered one of the premier design firms in architecture, Brooks+Scarpa is headquartered in California with an office in Florida and projects around the globe.
