Lisa Platt, assistant professor of interior design, was named the 2026 Educator of the Year by the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). She is also a research faculty member with the Florida Institute for Built Environment Resilience (FIBER) and was recently named the director of the Sustainability and the Built Environment Program by Dean Chimay Anumba. She will start in that position on July 1.
