University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning Dean Chimay Anumba announced thirteen members of the college that were granted tenure and/or promoted. The decisions were approved at the UF Board of Trustees meeting two weeks ago.
“Our faculty continue to amaze me year after year,” Anumba said. “ To have this many faculty granted tenure and/or promotion is a testament to the special people we have here offering world class teaching to our students and undertaking groundbreaking research.”
Dr. Aladdin Alwisy: granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Idris Jeelani: granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Yi Luo: granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Ryan Sharston: granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Emre Tepe: granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor
Dr. Jason Von Meding: granted tenure and promoted to Full Professor
Dr. Nam-Kyu Park: promoted to Full Professor
Dr. Thomas Hoctor: promoted to Research Professor
Dr. Laura Dedenbach: promoted to Senior Lecturer (Instructional Associate Professor)
Dr. Hal Knowles: promoted to Senior Lecturer (Instructional Associate Professor)
Prof. Genesis Okken: promoted to Senior Lecturer (Instructional Associate Professor)
Dr. Eileen Pesantes-Tavares: promoted to Senior Lecturer (Instructional Associate Professor)
Dr. Chimay Anumba: awarded the title of “Distinguished Professor”
