cERTIFICATE tRACKS

The 25 credit hour Graduate Certificate allows professionals seeking to add expertise and credentials to enhance and expand their knowledge with a deeper understanding of a chosen focus areas of specialization. Applicants can choose between three distinct Graduate Certificate Tracks:

GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE

OVERVIEW

The 25-credit hour Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Architecture is a post-professional graduate certificate focused on social, ecological, and environmental issues related to resilient and regenerative planning and urbanism involving design, technology, public policy, and the environment.

The Graduate Certificate provides working professionals with the opportunity to add expertise and a deeper understanding of the positive impact of sustainable policy, development & planning on the built environment, natural systems, and society with an emphasis on urbanism and the future of cities confronting twenty-first century environmental, social, and economic challenges.

The degree welcomes applications from both research and practice-oriented candidates and will prepare students for careers as sustainability experts in design, construction, real estate, and corporate firms; as resilience officers, and other sustainability roles in government; academia; and not-for-profit organizations.

DEADLINES

Applicants to the Graduate Certificate degree are reviewed application twice yearly. Please submit all application materials by March 1st to be considered for the fall semester, or by October 1st to be considered for admission in the following spring semester.

We will consider late applications received after these deadlines only on a space-available basis.

OVERVIEW

The 25-credit hour Graduate Certificate in Sustainable Architecture is a post-professional graduate certificate focused on the social, ecological, and environmental issues related to resilient, regenerative architecture and the city involving design, technology, public policy, building science, and the environment.

The Graduate Certificate provides working professionals with the opportunity to add expertise and a deeper understanding of architecture’s positive impact on the built environment,   natural systems, and society and to build special skills, knowledge and approaches to advanced   building science, building technologies, and regenerative design practices.

The degree welcomes applications from both research and practice-oriented candidates and will prepare students for careers as sustainability experts in architecture, construction, real estate, and corporate firms, as well as other sustainability roles in the building industry and academia.

OVERVIEW

he 21-credit hour Graduate Certificate in Themed Environment Integration is designed for students interested in beginning or advancing a career in the themed environments industry and provides applicants with previous degrees in wide range of disciplines the specialized knowledge necessary to pursue a career in the themed environments industry as a building professional.
