M.ARCH + CERTIFICATE TRACKS
Masters in Architecture applicants may choose to earn a Graduate Certificate as an additional credential to enhance their master’s education with a focus area of specialization. Applicants can choose between four distinct Graduate Certificate Tracks:
ADVANCED M.ARCH WITH GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE
OVERVIEW
The Sustainable Architecture Graduate Certificate + Adv. Master of Architecture Degree is a coordinated curriculum that allows Adv. M. Arch students to earn a graduate certificate as an enhancement to their master’s education. The Sustainable Architecture Graduate Certificate focuses on architectural design that makes a positive impact on the built environment, natural systems, and society. The Sustainable Architecture Certificate enhances the M. Arch. Degree by developing focused skills, knowledge, and approaches to advanced building science, building technologies, and regenerative design practices.
Students enrolled in the Sustainable Architecture Graduate Certificate may use the required 3-credit hour courses and the approved focus area elective to satisfy the elective requirement in the M. Arch. Program of study. In addition, the Thesis/PILOT topic must focus on sustainable architecture. View the curriculum.
