Jesse Gallimore (BSBC ’11), an esteemed alumnus of the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning, has been recognized as one of this year’s distinguished recipients of the prestigious “40 Gators Under 40” honor.

Presented by the UF Alumni Association, the annual awards program was established in 2006 to recognize alumni under the age of 40 whose achievements positively reflect The Gator Nation. Criteria for the competitive award include making a significant impact on the candidate’s industry and having civic or professional accomplishments at the state, national or international level.

Gallimore is an influential leader in the construction industry and the founder of JamesCo Builders. With more than two decades of experience, he has established a strong reputation as a proficient project manager and forward-thinking construction professional. His career began with a degree from DCP’s M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management at UF, where he cultivated a deep passion for construction management and business principles.

“It means a great deal to be recognized for my accomplishments in the 14 years since I have graduated,” he said. “Personally, and professionally, to be recognized for this honor is huge. Being a Rinker grad, it was always a dream to be honored with something as prestigious as this.”

Under Gallimore’s leadership, JamesCo has expanded its portfolio, delivering outstanding commercial projects that seamlessly blend aesthetic appeal with functional excellence. His hands-on approach and meticulous attention to detail have set new industry benchmarks, earning both accolades and a dedicated client base.

A passionate advocate for Building Better. Together., Gallimore has prioritized the integration of strong client, employee, and subcontractor relationships in every JamesCo project. His dedication to innovation is matched by his deep commitment to community engagement, actively supporting local initiatives and charitable organizations to make a lasting impact beyond the construction site.

“This exceptional University of Florida alumnus has already demonstrated a profound and transformative influence within the construction industry,” DCP Dean Chimay Anumba said. “He embodies the highest ideals of the OneDCP community and serves as a distinguished exemplar of our mission to shape and advance the built environment.”

Gallimore will be honored at UF’s 40 Gators Under 40 ceremony March 28.
