DCP Students First in Country To Become IPAL Graduates

The University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning was the first program in the country to have students graduate by using the Integrated Path to Architectural Licensure (IPAL). This option, overseen by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), streamlines the process for earning an architecture license while students earn their degree.

Three CityLab-Orlando students, Justin Jablonski, Michael Germano and Phillip Lantry, completed IPAL to earn their Master of Architecture and get their license weeks after their commencement.

“The IPAL program is one of the most significant changes in architectural education,” said CityLab-Orlando Program Director Frank M. Bosworth, Ph.D., AIA. “Students who are looking to come to architecture school like the idea of becoming a professional upon graduation.”
