University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning (DCP) graduate Scott Moss (BSBC ‘96), UF M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management’s Industry Advisory Board member Nancy Juneau and DCP friend and industry partner Steve Blum were elected into the National Academy of Construction (NAC) this month.
The NAC honors those who have made outstanding contributions to the effectiveness of the construction industry and are recognized as industry leaders by their peers. Members have demonstrated high personal integrity and a concern for the health of the entire industry through sharing their knowledge and leadership.
Moss was described as a “visionary leader whose influence goes beyond the job site– empowering people, transforming communities, and cultivating a values-driven culture anchored in impact, innovation and purpose.”
Moss is a member of the UF Rinker Construction Hall of Fame and the CEO and co-founder of Moss, a top ranked national construction firm. The company employs over 5,000 people across the U.S. with annual revenue exceeding $3 billion. Moss is known for his approachable and collaborative leadership style.
Juneau was described as “an inspirational leader and CEO of one of the most highly sought after construction firms in the Southeast, attracting clients and dedicated professionals through its company culture.”
As the CEO and co-founder of Juneau Construction Company, she has led the firm to become the top woman-owned general contractor in the Southeast with more than $700 million in annual revenues and 330 employees. She is passionate about giving back to the community and serves on several boards, including the Rinker School Industry Advisory Board.
Blum was described as an “outstanding leader in the construction project delivery process through a suite of revolutionary software tools, systems and services solutions for the construction industry.”
Blum is a 1987 graduate of the UF Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. He is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Autodesk Inc., a technology services provider to several industries. Blum and Autodesk have been long-term partners and supporters of DCP. Autodesk has made several donations to the college, including a $1.5 million gift to DCP and the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering to establish the world’s first-ever industrialized construction engineering program.
The trio will join Dean Chimay Anumba (2020), Jonathan Antevy (2021), Daniel E. Whiteman (2022), Robert F. Cox (2023), Bruno-Elias Ramos (2024), Raymond Issa (2024), David Brandon (2025) and Beth Lowry (2025) as members of the DCP family in the NAC. Moss, Juneau and Blum will be formally inducted during the NAC’s Annual Meeting on Sept. 25-27, 2026, in Nashville, TN.
