The Fall 2018 University of Florida Green Building Learning Collaborative Event added a new wrinkle to the festivities, a lightning round where students got to meet all of the sustainability professionals in attendance.
“We got rave reviews about the lightning round set-up and how rewarding it was to both guests and students,” UF DCP Sustainability in the Built Environment Director Bahar Armaghani stated.
Before the lightning round, guests and students were treated to a presentation by John Chyz of Affiliated Engineers, Inc, who sponsored the event.
The Green Building Learning Collaborative holds one event in the fall semester and one in the spring each year. Its mission is to create a learning collaborative for students, faculty and industry to foster sustainability leadership and stewardship through participation in applied projects that address sustainability through the planning and design of green buildings.
We are thankful that guests from TLC Engineering, The Dragon Group, Coastal Construction, Siemens, Eaton Corporation, Sherwin-Williams, Panasonic, Ecomedes, Abney + Abney Green Solutions, REAL Consultants and USGBC were able to attend and interact with our students.
The Spring 2019 Green Building Learning Collaborative Event will celebrate the Sustainability in the Built Environment program’s 10th anniversary. Stay tuned for more details.
