The M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Construction Management at UF held its Spring Career Fair on February 21, 2018. Nearly 300 UF students were able to visit with the 95 companies in attendance.
The Rinker School is known as one of the only schools at the University of Florida that has 100 percent job placement for its students after graduation. The career fair each semester is a large part of that success.
“Our school has continued to excel with the support of the alumni and industry,” said Dr. Raymond Issa, Interim Director of Rinker. “The Rinker School Career Fair is an outstanding opportunity to bring together industry and our students.”
The Stephen C. O’Connell Center was buzzing with energy during the career fair with plenty of students and employers excited to network and meet one another.
“Even though you might have an internship lined up already, you get to meet different people and different companies,” said Luckso Joacius, an S1 student at the Rinker School.
This spring career fair was Joacius’ fourth career fair as a student.
“You never know where you’re going to end up at, so it’s always good to meet new people,” Joacius said.
Maggie Drotos, alumni liaison and marketing and communication specialist for the Rinker School, led the charge in planning and organizing the spring career fair.
“The Rinker School started the Career Fairs in 1989, and we are proud of the continued success over the years,” Drotos said.
