The Rinker School Construction Hall of Fame grew by two on Saturday, Nov. 3. On a chilly November morning, both Gary Condron, BBC 1976, and Vincent G. Burkhardt, BBC 1972, were inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Gary Condron is the co-founder and CEO of The Conlan Company, a commercial construction company based in Atlanta. They have expanded offices to include Jacksonville and Dallas as well. Condron started the company thirty-one years ago.

Condron has lead the company to a construction volume of $931 million in 2017 and is on track to exceed that this year.

The Conlan Company has been named the #1 Builder of “Distribution and Warehouses” in the country by Engineering News Record for the past ten years.

Today the company employs one hundred and thirty salaried and three hundred hourly employees. Condron recognizes the strength of the company is in its people.

Condron graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Building Construction in December 1976. He has been on the Gator Booster board for twenty years and on the UAA Board of Trustees for the past five years.

The ability to be competitive and provide an above industry standard quality building within an aggressive schedule is the signature of The Conlan Company. This, together with a focus on client relations and repeat business, is the cornerstone of Conlan’s success.

Vincent G. Burkhardt is a State Certified General Contractor and the founder and president of Burkhardt Construction. He is responsible for over four decades of successful, claims-free construction projects in south and central Florida.

Burkhardt is a past president of the Florida East Coast Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), Life Director of the National AGC, recipient of the 2002-2003 Distinguished Alumnus Award and past executive committee chairman of the Rinker School.

He is a previous president for the Scholastic Achievement Foundation of Palm Beach County and currently serves as vice president for the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in West Palm Beach.

Vince joins good company in the Construction Hall of Fame as his father, Vincent L. Burkhardt, is a 1985 inductee of the Construction Hall of Fame.

Congratulations to Condron and Burkhardt for this incredible honor. We could not be more proud to be the catalyst of all your successes.
