The University of Florida held the New Student Convocation in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O’Connell Center. This event is the official welcome for all new first-year students at UF.
After those festivities, the College of Design, Construction and Planning held its own Convocation in Rinker Hall to welcome those students who are joining the DCP Family.
Associate Dean Abdol Chini served as the master of ceremonies as he introduced Dean Chimay Anumba and the Academic Unit Leaders. The speakers informed the students about all that our college has to offer them.
Afterwards, the new students were treated to a panel discussion by four current students, who spoke of their experiences at DCP and answered questions from the audience.
Our college is excited to welcome these new students and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
