Search for Past SBE Graduates & Explore Their Senior Capstones

All SBE students are required to complete a six credit Senior Capstone project as a threshold in their collegiate rite of passage. Like a chrysalis, this liminal gateway separates their student lives from their emerging professional lives yet to be written. Explore their worldviews and work potential in our archives.

Alumni

SBE graduates engage in challenging work, from building to community scales, around the country for public, private, and non-governmental organizations. Post-collegiate positions vary by industry, but include entrepreneurs, project engineers, consultants, coordinators, analysts, and assistant account executives. Opportunities for promotion bring the possibility of SBE graduates to mature into directors, executives, and senior level staff. A sampling of organizations where SBE alumni are thriving as change makers include the following showcased below.

In this three minute SBE Senior Capstone Journey vignette, Angie Castrillon (Spring 2020 SBE Interdisciplinary Specialization) highlights both heartfelt, and heartbreaking, moments throughout her experiences at the University of Florida and within the SBE program. Walking the talk as a community change agent, she also describes the power and potential in small victories as exemplified in her volunteer work as a Home Energy Coach with the Community Weatherization Coalition. Thanks Angie!
