Nielsen Landscape Architects is seeking a talented, creative, organized Designer who is passionate about design to join our Jupiter, Florida office. Our firm specializes in luxury residential and resort/hospitality design throughout South Florida and the Caribbean. Approaching each project with enthusiasm and rigor, our team greatly enjoys collaborating with clients, architects, and designers to build strong partnerships and forge lasting connections. The Designer will contribute to the creative and technical development of projects across all phases and assist the team in delivering thoughtful, high-quality design solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a collaborative studio environment that values innovation, sustainability, and design excellence. Responsibilities include assisting with site analysis, conceptual design, construction documents and in the production of detailed drawings, renderings, and presentation materials. The ideal candidate is a design-forward thinker with a strong eye for detail and proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Lumion as well as other design platforms. This position provides a strong foundation for professional growth and advancement within a dynamic and forward-thinking practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of landscape design plans, conceptual packages, and presentations
- Support in the development of construction documents including planting plans, hardscape details, and grading
- Participate in field visits and documenting site conditions
- Develop illustrative plans, 3D visualizations, and presentation materials
- Coordinate with civil engineers, architects, and planners
- Assist with research on materials, regulations, codes, and sustainable design practices
- Maintain organized project files and support project team logistics
Requirements:
- 0-4 years professional experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, and Microsoft Office
- 3-D Modeling & Strong Hand-Drawing Skills
- Technical knowledge and experience in the production of construction documents including site details, materials selection, grading, and planting
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Strong communication and verbal presentation skills
- BLA, B.Arch, BURP, BUD or MLA, MURP, or MA from an accredited university
