Civil Estimator

We’re seeking a Civil Construction Jr. Estimator to join our team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in preparing accurate and competitive bids for our civil construction projects. You’ll work closely with project managers and senior estimators to ensure we have the necessary information to secure new business and manage existing projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quantity takeoffs: Perform precise quantity takeoffs from project plans and specifications.
• Vendor and subcontractor communication: Engage with vendors and subcontractors to gather pricing and material quotes.
• Cost analysis: Analyze project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Bid preparation: Assist in the preparation and submission of comprehensive bids and proposals.
• Team collaboration: Work collaboratively with the project team to understand project scope and requirements.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
• Proficiency: Strong skills in arithmetic and a solid understanding of construction plans and specifications.
• Experience: Prior experience with quantity estimating and bid preparation is a plus, but not required.
• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
