The Economic Planner Consultant takes ownership of tasks required for project delivery, serves as an individual contributor as well as directs analysts and other staff during project execution, and provides support for Project Managers and Senior Leaders in the group. Tasks include introductory level project administration and management, undertaking, performing, coordinating, and communicating foundational research, coordinating and implementing research approaches as defined by project leadership teams, and communicating and coordinating research findings in the form of concise memoranda, presentations, charts and graphics.

Analyses to be undertaken include quantitative and qualitative analyses in areas such as economic and fiscal impact studies, benefit-cost analysis and cost of inaction in the context of climate change, market analysis and financial feasibility analyses for urban development/redevelopment; funding and financing feasibility studies for infrastructure in the context of climate adaptation, urbanization and technological change, case-study research on trends in urbanization, transportation, energy and economic development; and socio-economic analyses for economic policy development, infrastructure and major real estate development projects.
