Experienced Architectural Designer

Doherty Sommers Architects Engineers, Inc., (DSAE) located in Jacksonville Beach, Florida is looking for an energetic and creative professional architectural designer to join our team.

DSAE provides a comprehensive array of commercial design services for new construction and interior renovation projects. Experience:

• A professional degree in architecture – required.
• Professional experience in an architecture firm 5 years minimum – required.
• Experience in commercial projects – required.
• On the path to professional licensure – preferred.

Employment Type:

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

• Preparation of permit issue construction documents
• Engage with clients and owners.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects.
• Field Verifications and project site visits.
• Update and maintain project files and folders.

Requirements:

• 4+ years AutoCAD proficiency – required
• Experienced in Photoshop, In Design and Windows based systems. Revit a plus
• Licensed Architect or focused on a path to licensure
• 5-7 years’ experience in an office environment
• Dynamic and engaging personality and attitude a must
• Strong verbal and written skills
• Experience in production of Construction Documentation – required
• Experience with coordination with engineers and other consultants – required
• Familiarity with FBC, ADA and NFPA – required

Compensation:

This will be a salary position and compensation will be negotiated during the interview process and will be indicative of the experience level and the skill set of the potential candidate.
