Under general direction of the Natural Resources and Lands Management (NRLM) Division Manager, the 0931 Manager III – Peninsula Watershed, Rights of Way and SF Lands Resources Manager oversees the Peninsula Watershed, Rights of Way and San Francisco Lands Management Section of the Water Enterprise’s Natural Resources and Lands Management Division. Geographically, this scope includes management of the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) owned lands on the Peninsula (Burlingame, Cypress Work Center and Millbrae), Hetch Hetchy Regional Water System Rights of Way in the Bay Area, and lands in San Francisco, and office and field staffs operating on the Peninsula and in San Francisco. The incumbent in this position is responsible for land management (e.g., maintenance of roads, fences, trails, non-native invasive species, wildfire risk reduction, and supervision of land management and patrol staff), natural resources planning and coordination with stakeholder interests (related to hydrology, forestry, and community outreach and public education), and biological monitoring (e.g., limnology, botany, fisheries, and wildlife) within this geographic scope. The primary work location for this position will be at Burlingame, CA with some travel within the Peninsula area and to San Francisco, CA as needed.
