Auld & White Constructors has several openings for Manager’s in Training (APM’s).  We have a top notch manager in training program.  MIT’s are exposed to all aspects of construction and by the end of their training program, they will have a solid idea of which direction they want to pursue within the organization (Project Management, Superintendent, Estimating or Business Development.)

  1. MIT’s will work in the office and at the job sites of Auld & White Constructors, LLC. and  be responsible for managing assigned scope(s) of work within multiple project(s) as directed by the Project Manager and/or Director of Project Management gaining the necessary organizational and communication skills, experience, decision making capabilities and leadership required to earn a Project Management, Estimating, Superintendent or Business Development position with Auld & White Constructors, LLC.
  2. Work  with architects, engineers and owners to review design inputs during detailed engineering phase and monitor progress of design work with particular attention to scope and cost changes.
  3. Perform quantity take-offs to ascertain scope magnitude utilized for Conceptual Estimates.
  4. Research products and construction materials to understand their installation requirements and integration into the overall design.
  5. Develop Subcontractor and Material Supplier “Bid Packages” based on the Project scope of work.
  6. Prepare detailed cost estimates under the direction of the Project Manager or Chief Estimator.
  7. Prepare a comprehensive Project Master Schedule which shall include key submittals required, long lead materials & equipment procurement and construction.
  8. Develop Purchase Control Log utilizing the Project Manual and thorough review of the Project Construction Drawings and any Addendums.
  9. Prepare Pre-bid inquiries, receive & evaluate bids for completeness and in conjunction with the Project Manager.
  10. Schedule the project, including preparation of detailed schedules and updating of the Project Master Schedule.
  11. Review project submittals, shop drawings and product data to ensure compliance with the contract documents.
  12. Conduct weekly, onsite progress meetings which include the Project Superintendent and subcontractors and assist in the planning of major construction operations and sequences.
  13. Conduct weekly or bi-weekly progress meetings with the Owner and Design Team Members.
  14. Schedule Pre-installation Meetings for all key scopes of work (masonry, structural steel, roofing, storefront systems, stucco, etc.).   
  15. Complete detailed meeting minutes.
  16. Prepare and distribute Request for Information (RFI) for the project. 
  17. Keep the Project Control Log updated.
  18. Document, estimate and prepare Change Order Proposals for all scope changes.
  19. Handle client relations including correspondence, reports, change orders, personal contacts and requests.
  20. Provide Field Personnel the required information needed in a timely manner.
  21. Assist the Project Manager in Cost Report Completion.
  22. Oversee building systems commissioning, including Pre-Functional Testing, commissioning documentation & distribution, Functional Performance Testing and resolution of any commissioning deficiencies.
  23. Oversee Punch List Inspection. R
  24. Coordinate with the Project Superintendent to ensure As-Built Drawings are received.
  25. Coordinate with the Construction Assistant to ensure timely receipt of Project Close-out Documents.
  26. Responsible for prompt follow-up of any warranty items with the Owner.  
  27. Documentation of warranty item and the appropriate Subcontractor/individual responsible for its remediation
