AmeriCorps NCCC has partnered with the Federal Emergency Management Agency to host FEMA Corps, a 10-month volunteer service program focused on Emergency Management. As a member of FEMA corps, you will:
- Serve on 3-6 different projects with the Federal Emergency Management Agency
- Travel the country, all expenses provided
- Gain experience with different aspects of emergency management, such as disaster mitigation, disaster preparedness, and disaster response
- Earn the Segal Education Award, which can be used to pay for educational expenses and qualified student loans
The next FEMA Corps service term starts in February 2026 and ends in November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for winter graduates or students looking for a gap year.
