I acknowledge adherence to the terms of this Policy.Criteria and Format About the Award The University of Florida DCP School Alumni Design Awards were created to recognize design excellence with the University of Florida Design Alumni Community. 100% entry fees will go to the UF Alumni Scholarship Fund to fund student scholarship(s) within the College of Design and Construction. Submissions close: January 13th, 2025 University of Florida DCP Alumni ONLY: $50.00 per project submission Additional donations are encouraged. 100% of all submission fees and donations will go to the Alumni Student Scholarship Fund and be distributed in the form of financial scholarships for exceptional students who demonstrate financial need. All submission fees and donations are 100% tax deductible. Eligibility Any graduate of the University of Florida College of Design Construction and Planning may submit projects for the 2021 University of Florida DCP School Alumni Design Awards. Only alumni who submit an entry will be eligible to receive the award. Projects must have been completed within 5 years of entry deadline. Judging Criteria Candidates are evaluated based on their contributions to the field of public architecture. Category 1: For the design of architecturally distinguished public facilities Category 2: For the design or management of architecturally distinguished public facilities Category 3: For advocacy that has furthered the public's awareness and/or appreciation of design excellence. Recognition Awards for winning designs will be presented via a virtual awards celebration in October. These projects will be featured in our alumni magazine, on this website and through social media. Jury To protect the integrity of the awards process, active nominees are prohibited from contacting members of the Jury during the submission process.
