Helix Green Designs is a boutique landscape design studio based in Northeast Florida, specializing in high-end residential projects and estates. We are passionate about creating transformative outdoor spaces that enhance our clients’ lifestyles and connect them deeply with the natural environment, which is especially important in the unique climate of Northeast Florida. Our projects range from new construction and home remodels to comprehensive garden renovations.
Internship Overview:
We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual to join our team as a paid summer intern. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of landscape architecture and design, working closely with our design principal. The intern will assist with various project phases, from initial site analysis and concept development to construction documentation and project oversight.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with the production of design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD.
· Prepare design packages for client meetings and presentations
· Assist with site analysis and initial project research.
· Collaborate with the design principal on concept development and design features.
· Assist in material selection and sourcing.
· Contribute to project oversight during the construction phase.
· Create graphic presentations using Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
· Assist with general office tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or related program.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
· Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) is required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
· Familiarity with SketchUp and Lumion is a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong design sensibility, creativity, and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable.
· Must have a reliable personal computer and vehicle with a valid driver’s license
· Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) 10a-4p
