The University of Florida School of Architecture Alumni Design Awards were created to recognize design excellence with the University of Florida Architecture and Design Alumni Community. 100% entry fees will go to the Architecture Alumni Fund.

Architecture Award category celebrates design excellence and recognizes the impact of architecture in the world.
Interior Architecture
Interior Architecture category celebrates design excellence of interior spaces and recognizes the impact of building interiors on all aspects of life.
Unbuilt Design Award
Unbuilt category celebrates unbuilt projects of any scale.
Design Research Award
Unbuilt category celebrates emerging ideas, research, and theoretical projects from professionals.
Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse Award
Historic Preservation & Adaptive Reuse category celebrates design excellence and commitment to preservation, restoration, and adaptation of existing buildings and structures.

Regional & Urban Design Category celebrates design excellence in urban design, community and neighborhood development, and city planning.

The University of Florida School of Architecture Alumni Design Awards were created to recognize design excellence with the University of Florida Architecture and Design Alumni Community. 100% entry fees will go to the Architecture Alumni Fund.
Any B. Des, M.Arch, or MSAS graduate from UF’s School of Architecture is eligible to submit projects for the 2025 UF SoA Design Awards. Awards for winning designs will be presented at the awards ceremony in November. These projects will be featured in the DCP Alumni Magazine, on this website, and through social media. Submissions must be anonymous during the review process.
Eligibility
Any B. Des, M.Arch, or MSAS graduate from UF’s School of Architecture is eligible to submit projects for the 2025 UF SoA Alumni Design Awards. Only alumni who submit an entry will be eligible to receive the award. Projects must have been completed within 5 years of entry deadline.
Deadline
August 15, 2025, 11:59:59 PM ET
Fees
$200 per submission entry (one project per submission).
Additional donations are encouraged. 100 % of all submission fees and donations will go to the UF Architecture Alumni Fund. All submission fees and donations are 100% tax deductible.
Payment Notice
You will receive an invoice within 72 hours after each submission. Payment for submission must be received by September 1, 2025, to be eligible for award.
Guidelines
To complete your submission, you must do the following by August 15, 2025, 11:59:59 PM ET:
- Complete the SUBMISSION FORM in the awards submission portal.
- Upload a single PDF maximum 20 pages, 10MB max.
- Make full payment of ENTRY FEES within submission portal (once project is finalized).
- Format must be landscape either a single (tabloid) 11”x 17” or two combined (letter) 8.5” x 11”pages printed as a single spread. A two-page letter spread counts as one page.
- Photos submitted should illustrate the work of the submitter.
- No company identification, alumnus name, or proprietary product names should appear on any items contained within the *Jury Review PDF. Be generic and anonymous.
- Prepare your Jury Review Document with the judging criteria in mind: excellence in implementation of design; quality craftsmanship; innovative solutions to unique challenges; and character quality.
Please complete all requested information in the portal. Required fields are marked with an asterisk. Please be sure the information appears EXACTLY as you wish to see it published and listed on the awards certificates. Check the spelling of names carefully. You may save your work and return to the submission site as often as needed as long as you complete and submit all parts of the project submission, along with payment of entry fees, by the due date.
Payment Notice

UF DCP reserves the right to disqualify for failure to comply with guidelines or for incomplete submissions. No refunds will be given for unfilled or incomplete submissions. Award-winning alumni are encouraged to attend the awards ceremony to personally accept the award.
