In the “Our Changing State” series, Florida Matters explores the evolving transportation challenges in Florida due to its booming population. The segment features insights from Tampa resident Sharon Tagle and UF URP professor, Dr. Ruth Steiner on the complexities of urban transit and the potential of ride-sharing services.

Kyle Dost, AICP, will be continuing his journey in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning as MURP Online Program Director and Instructional Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2023. He has served as the MURP online Associate Program Director since 2018.

In the warm months of 2023, our Master of Urban and Regional Planning students ventured into an array of unique professional experiences to satisfy their internship prerequisites. Leveraging the insights and practical applications from the URP 6941 internship course, the students further enriched their understanding of planning methodologies and professional decorum.

Dr. Kristin Larsen has made significant contributions to the field of Urban Planning at the University of Florida, transitioning from student to professor and innovating with the establishment of the first fully-online accredited graduate planning program in the U.S.
