UF URP Faculty to Edit Journal of Planning Education Research (JPER)
University of Florida’s Department Chair of Urban and Regional Planning, Dr. Ivy Hu, earns editor role at the Journal of Planning Education Research (JPER), along with Dr. Zhong-Ren Peng becoming associate editor.

Dr. Ivy Hu, Chair of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of Florida, has been honored with an appointment as an editor of the distinguished Journal of Planning Education Research (JPER). As the flagship publication of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Planning (ACSP), JPER serves as a beacon of excellence in the field of planning education.
The appointment, which begins in 2024, is a testament to Dr. Hu’s remarkable contributions and leadership in the domain of urban and regional planning. Dr. Hu expressed her enthusiasm about her upcoming tenure, during which she aims to further planning education research, stimulate increased collaboration with planning educators, and enhance the academic standing of the University of Florida.
In addition to Dr. Hu, Urban and Regional Planning professor, Dr. Zhong-Ren Peng, has been invited to serve as an associate editor for JPER in the upcoming year.
