Larissa Krinos was one of two students recognized this year by Dean Chimay Anumba at a graduation ceremony for the College of Design, Construction and Planning. Larissa received the Undergraduate Leadership and Service Award for her multiple achievements, as a DCP Ambassador for the past three years, as a research assistant for URP Professor Ruth Steiner, and as President of the Tau Beta Sigma music sorority for the UF Fightin’ Gator Marching Band.
We have the constant responsibility to use our education to everyone’s advantage.
She accomplished all this while maintaining an exceptional academic record as a 4+1 Combined Degree student in the Bachelor of Science in Sustainability and the Built Environment (BSSBE) program and the Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) program.
Larissa’s senior capstone in Sustainability and the Built Environment examined how the Living Community Challenge green certification program for neighborhoods could be applied to low-income areas.
Having completed the undergraduate degree, Larissa will continue with her studies in the MURP program.
Congratulations Larissa!
