UF URP Marks 50 Years of Planning Excellence With End of Year Celebration
The University of Florida Department of Urban and Regional Planning recently hosted their annual end-of-year celebration, honoring the hard work of students and faculty over the course of the academic year.
Held April 22 at The Wooly in Downtown Gainesville, the event served as a time to recognize the groundbreaking work and research of students, faculty, and staff, and to highlight the contributions and impact of alumni and planning partners. It also marked the end of the department’s 50th anniversary, a year-long celebration honoring the department’s legacy and impact on planning throughout the state of Florida.
Fresh off the heels of the UF Planning Research & Practice Conference, the event served as a reminder of what makes the department special – purpose-driven work, a connected planning community and students with a passion for equitable planning both here at home and across the world.
