New financial aid opportunities available from URP Department
There are new assistantship and scholarship opportunities beginning with the fall 2022 application cycle.

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning is excited to offer new applicants with a variety of assistantship and scholarship opportunities!
Beginning with the fall 2022 application cycle, applicants to the MURP campus program are eligible to apply for 2 assistantships and 4 scholarships. MURP online applicants are eligible to apply for the 4 scholarships:
– Assistantship for Underrepresented Students in Planning
– Assistantship for First-Generation Students in Planning
– Scholarship: Judith Mucci scholarship
– Scholarship: James C. Nicholas scholarship
– Scholarship: Earl M. Starnes scholarship
– Scholarship: Department of Urban and Regional Planning Chair’s Award
Assistantships involve part-time, campus-based research work (10-20 hours/week) with a URP faculty member and come with a full tuition waiver, stipend, and GatorCare. Scholarships are merit-based and dependent upon location and topical interests.
Interested fall applicants must submit a complete application package AND an application for assistantship/scholarship by January 31st, 2022, the priority deadline for funding.
