Faculty research interests cover a wide spectrum of practice, theory and methods, with topics focusing on areas that include social and behavioral aspects of design, community advocacy, issues in sustainability, land use and landscape resource planning, landscape management, climate change, geographic information systems (GIS), tourism, landscape infrastructure and landscape history.
The Center for Landscape Conservation Planning conducts applied research on the relationship between conservation and land use.
