Dr. Jules Bruck Contributes to Living Infrastructure Coastal Protection Project

Dr. Jules Bruck, Director of the UF School of Landscape Architecture and Planning, has contributed to a $7 million project focused on utilizing Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) to bolster St. Augustine’s natural defenses against shoreline erosion, storm surge, and habitat loss.
The project, sponsored by the Army Corps of Engineers, is contributing to their goal of reusing or repurposing at least 70% of dredged sediment into other natural areas to benefit habitats and restoration by 2030.
