Alicia Gagliotti is one of our rising seniors in the class of 2027. She currently serves at UF as the a DCP Ambassador and the President of Gator Interior Design, where she inspires other students to excel in their DCP pathways. Outside of school, she has previously spent two summers at Embraer Executive Jets as a design intern and junior designer. This summer she’s been completing an internship at Cooper Carry in Atlanta, where she has been able to apply skills she’s learned from classes to develop construction drawings, pick up red lines, and develop space planning and branded elements for a high school cafeteria. As she continues her work, she hopes to learn more about interdisciplinary collaboration and developing final deliverables for real clients.
“From a student perspective, one of the greatest strengths of the UF Interior Design program is the diverse range of sectors we are exposed to. During my current internship with Cooper Carry, as I work across the Education, Workplace, and Multifamily studios, I have realized just how valuable this exposure is. Having explored various sectors in the classroom gave me credibility, technical background, and confidence to actively share ideas and contribute to project decisions from day one at the firm.”
