Faculty-led trips to Atlanta in the junior year and Chicago in the senior year expose students to historical, modern and contemporary examples of interior design and architecture in urban settings. Students not only tour a range of design firms but often engage more deeply with the selected practitioners who might conduct a jury of student work in their conference room or share experiences and insights that creates a base to launch a studio project that the students will be working on that semester. Our students also regularly participate in a study abroad experience in Detmold, Germany with Construction Management students.
