Alumni Updates

Taurean Merriweather at his internship with the National Park Service as a Historic Preservation Architect following his 2018 graduation.

Taurean Merriweather, an alumnus of UF’s Historic Preservation Master’s Program, has recently secured a Visiting Professorship at his undergraduate Alma Mater, Tuskegee University. He will be teaching Historic Preservation at the Taylor School of Architecture and Construction Science; just weeks after securing a Designer II position at Cooper Carry Design Firm located in Atlanta, Georgia. Taurean’s role as a professor will assist Tuskegee in providing students with a Certificate in Historic Preservation supplementing their Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Construction Science Management degree. This opportunity is accompanied by his experience working with the Historic American Building Survey (HABS), the Historic Preservation Training Center (HPTC), and his current work as a part-time Reservist with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

Congratulations, Taurean!
