Lyn selected for Steelcase Competition
March 27, 2014 – Sabryna Lyn, senior IND student, was selected for the Steelcase NEXT Student Design Competition.
IND faculty and students attend IDEC Conference
March 25, 2014 – Faculty and students from the Department of Interior Design were honored at this year’s Interior Design Educator’s Council (IDEC) Conference. The annual conference was held March 6 – 8 in New Orleans, LA.
2014 IND Rising Leader Alumni Award
February 11, 2014 – The Department of Interior Design recognized Marlo Ransdell, Ph.D. 2009, with the 2014 Rising Leader Alumni Award. This is the first year the department is recognizing an alumnus who is working in interior design education.
IND ranked nationally by DesignIntelligence
December 11, 2013 – The University of Florida’s interior design graduate program was ranked 7th nationally in DesignIntelligence’s 15th annual survey of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools 2014. In addition, the interior design undergraduate program ranked 2nd among schools in the south.

Jennifer Ramski stays connected to her hometown, passionate about interior design
August 22, 2013 – Jennifer Ramski, NCIDQ, IDAF (Interior Design Association of Florida), IND 1978, is a sixth generation Gainesvillian. She also is a P.K. Yonge “lifer,” meaning she attended UF-affilated P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School from kindergarten through 12th grade. When she had a chance to work on the furniture specification for the school’s new P.K. Yonge 21st century K-5 learning center, it was particularly gratifying.

November 07, 2011 – The University of Florida’s undergraduate program in interior design was ranked 3rd nationally in DesignIntelligence’s 13th annual survey of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools 2012. In addition, the interior design graduate program ranked 7th in the nation.
Historic preservation students participate in historic monuments workshop
April 21, 2011 – On April 1-2, students from the University of Florida’s Historic Preservation Program, along with interested participants from around the country, participated with the National Council for Preservation Technology and Training on a two-day experiential workshop at the Historic Tolomato Cemetery in St. Augustine.
Meneely receives UF Sustainable Solutions Award honorable mention
April 21, 2011 – Jason Meneely, assistant professor of interior design, recently received an honorable mention from UF’s Sustainable Solutions Award for his creation of the “Digital Critique Cart,” a rolling computer that takes advantage of recent advances in digital pen tablet technology that make it possible to sketch directly on the surface of the computer screen with a level of sophistication and sensitivity that is quite similar to sketching on paper.
