Tori Francis is a Landscape Architecture Analyst at Kimley-Horn, working in the Gainesville office since the summer of 2024. In her current role, she contributes to a diverse range of projects for public and private clients, specializing in parks, master planning, and design communication, and collaborates with professionals across disciplines, primarily civil engineering and transportation. She enjoys the master plan visioning process and creating graphics for community engagement.
Tori graduated from the 5-year Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program at the University of Florida, along with a minor in Entomology, in 2024. As an undergraduate, she was a Design Intern with Dix. Hite. The highlight of her extended internship was being part of a team to develop a pattern book for sustainable single-family homes, which was presented at the annual OUTSIDE Collab conference in 2022. Prior to graduation, she was a Teaching Assistant for Plant ID, one of her favorite courses. Her academic interests include conservation planning and she is passionate about the value of native planting design and environmental education, which inspired her capstone project on green cemetery design for conservation and passive recreation. After graduation, she continues to live and work in Gainesville and maintains connections with the University.
