
As Co-President of Cotleur & Hearing, Nicole Plunkett is a trusted leader in land planning and landscape architecture. She brings a collaborative approach to guiding projects from concept through approval, developing strategies that streamline entitlements and deliver value-driven results. Her work spans redevelopment, mixed-use, multifamily, workforce housing, and golf course and country club design, as well as parks and community spaces. In addition to leading the firm’s Jupiter headquarters, she recently expanded Cotleur & Hearing with a new office in Orlando.
A proud University of Florida alumna, Nicole earned her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture in 2010 and now serves as Chair of the UF Department of Landscape Architecture’s Professional Advisory Council. Her favorite Gator memories include studying abroad in Paris and celebrating UF’s football and basketball national championships during the Tim Tebow era. A Leadership Florida alum, she also serves on the Executive Board of the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and founded Future Landscape Architects of America, a nonprofit introducing K–12 students to the profession. Outside the office, Nicole is an avid pickleball enthusiast and proudly holds a world ranking in the game of Minesweeper.
