Mike Kroll Bio

Mike has served on the UF Landscape Architecture Professional Advisory Council since 2014.  Over his 35+ year career, his designs have concentrated on planning, infrastructure, open space, habitat restoration, transportation, and redevelopment. These diverse projects have successfully integrated environmental, planning and landscape architectural practices. Mike’s work has been recognized with over thirty professional design awards.

In 2014 he was elevated to Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects for the knowledge gained from these projects and its dissemination in subsequent publications, speeches, and lectures. In 2013, he was presented the Outstanding Alumnus Award from the UF Landscape Architecture Department for his achievements and contributions to the profession.

Mike is the only landscape architect graduate and member of the American Council of Engineering Companies Senior Executive Institute where he continues to advance landscape architecture among the A/E professions. He has been a member of the Florida Board of Landscape Architecture since 2013 and has served as the Chair of the Broward County Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee since 2009. Favorite memory from UF:

Too many to list and some that I legally or ethically shouldn’t. 😊

One that stands out though is regularly doing cardio training runs with Wilber Marshall (All American UF linebacker, 2x Super Bowl champion) on Florida Field.
