2021 CityLab-Orlando Lecture Series
UF CityLab Orlando welcomes you to a once-a-month lecture series and discussion throughout 2021, that hosts practitioners and academics from around the world presenting one of their projects (built or not) and its relationship to the city. The event will be moderated by Albertus Wang (UF CityLab Orlando) and Kalliope Kontozoglou (Athens, Greece; Kalliope’s Bio). We choose the speakers, present to you, and interrogate them in a Socratic ‘maieutic’ way. The goal of this activity is to have participants work together to construct meaning, not for one to “win the argument”. Each guest lecturer will provide a project to be uploaded on a platform a few days in advance of the talk so that students and other participants can familiarize themselves with it and send their questions. The questions will be clustered according to the sub-topics. The author will respond to the questions he finds relevant during the talk and engage with the students.
