Call for Papers

The University of Florida will be hosting the 2021 ASCE International Conference on Computing in Civil Engineering (i3CE2021). The theme of this conference is IT for Smart Infrastructure and Communities.

Scientific contributions are invited in all emerging areas of computing in the AECO industry, including posters, demonstrations, and industry case studies. All submissions will be reviewed for content and technical merit and organized based on their technical area and/or application context. Best practices and applications focusing on Smart Infrastructure and Communities from non-AECO industries are also invited. Outstanding peer-reviewed research papers will be selected and nominated to a special collection of ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering.

Venue

Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South

The Conference will be held at the Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South, a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor® hotel 10 minutes from Walt Disney World®, with a scheduled shuttle to Epcot® and some of Florida’s finest golf fairways within 20 minutes. The Conference will make full use of the 40,000 square feet of meeting and event space available and over 300 guest rooms. The venue is will equipped with the latest conferencing technology including wireless networking.

i3CE2021 made to order breakfast and daily receptions will be only served to i3CE2021 registered attendees who are also registered as hotel guests.

Some things to keep in mind:

  • Please note that due to presentation space and time slots limitations, we are only allowing one final paper submission per prepaid full registrant. In addition, papers without at least one prepaid full registrant will not be published.
  • As you are preparing your paper submission, please keep in mind that authors of selected papers may be invited to submit their paper as a journal article for consideration and possible publication in a special collection of the ASCE Journal of Computing in Civil Engineering.
  • In addition, given a critical mass of research papers in specific topic areas, authors may be invited to submit chapters for consideration and possible publication in ASCE monographs on those topic areas.

Paper Submission

The formatting guidelines for the papers are available at:

Please remember that the maximum length of a paper cannot exceed 8 pages. (Please submit your FINAL paper as a MS word document. The submission WWW will not accept other formats)

Abstract Submission

Abstracts should be 200-250 words long. Abstracts should be cut and pasted into your login profile when you initially set up your login profile. They should also be updated when you submit your final paper.

Copyright

Before ASCE publishes any materials, the copyright ownership must be clear, and except in a few special cases, transferred to ASCE. The transfer is done through a Copyright Transfer Agreement. Additional information on copyright transfer is available on the (pending…)
