This new Master concentration is a unique industry driven program. It is focused on themed environments project design and construction team integration. The program leverages the core strengths of the College of Design Construction and Planning (DCP); architecture, landscape architecture, construction management, and interior design, and puts them together with industry expertise. The degree focuses on the enmeshed needs of an industry embodied in arts, technical disciplines, and construction/fabrication that makes an immersive themed environment possible. Our students obtain core knowledge and then are faced with industry problems which they tackle collaboratively to create research-informed limit-pushing designs.
We’ve set this new degree program in “The Theme Park Capital of the World”. The MS in Architectural Studies with a concentration in Themed Environments Integration will be offered at UF's CityLab-Orlando location where it can offer access to people, perspectives, and activities in the themed environments industry. UF has opened enrollment for the first group of students to begin fall 2019. The academic program is year-round to facilitate employment while in school.Contact
