Applicants must have already attained at least a bachelor&#8217;s degree prior to being admitted to both the degree and certificate programs.<br>There are a variety of career options for graduates such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fire Department Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency and Safety Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Department of Homeland Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Insurance companies and Safety Institutes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FEMA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nuclear Regulatory Commission<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red Cross<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>State Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health and Safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergency Response and Construction<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Crisis and Emergency Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Private industry such as oil and gas companies, industry management, and consulting opportunities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Instructions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must apply online. The online application is available on the <a title=\"UF Admissions' website\" href=\"http:\/\/admissions.ufl.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UF Office of Admissions\u2019 website<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A statement of purpose, resume, and unofficial transcripts are to be uploaded to the online application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The online application&nbsp;is also where applicants list the email addresses of their references. The references will upload their letters of recommendation directly to the online application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must also mail official copies of their transcripts and bachelor\u2019s degree certificates to the the UF Office of Admissions. The UF test score code is 5812.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Deadlines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring admission \u2013 September 15 of the previous year<br>Summer admission \u2013 March 1 of the same year<br>Fall admission \u2013 June 1&nbsp;of the same year<br>Applicants&nbsp;will need to pay the application fee and have official transcript(s) sent to the <a href=\"http:\/\/admissions.ufl.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UF Office of Admissions<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In addition to submitting an application, all applicants must qualify by providing:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Degree Seekers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited university<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For international applicants a TOEFL score of 84 or higher on the Internet-Based exam (550 on the Paper-Based) or a 6.5 or higher on the IELTS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>three academic or professional letters of recommendation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a statement of purpose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a current resume<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3
