Rinker alumna and Haskell Vice President, Stacey Barton, was awarded 2017 Women of Influence in Jacksonville. The Women of Influence is awarded based on the individual’s involvement through their companies, their work in the community and their involvement in nonprofits. When asked the secret to her success at Haskell, Stacey insisted, “Mentors. I’ve had great mentors all along the way.” She was one of three women in a class of 60 at the Rinker School. Stacey joined Haskell in 1995 as an on-site assistant project manager and is now vice president for the Consumer & Packaged Goods Group and is the highest-ranking woman in construction operations. Stacey is always working to promote women in the construction industry. She is one of 19 members of the Haskell Women’s Alliance. She has also stayed active at UF, where she gives guest lectures, and is a role model in the Women in Construction Forum. She is also active in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters as a mentor in “Beyond School Walls” program. Stacey has been and will continue to be a mentor for women in the industry and the Rinker School. Congratulations Stacey!
