The Edward D. Stone, Jr. Lecture Series<\/a> has been a key part of the University of Florida\u2019s Landscape Architecture program, fostering intellectual conversation and engagement with practitioners for the past decade. Since its inception in 2015, the series has brought leading voices in landscape architecture and urban design to share their insights and experiences with students, faculty, and professionals. This series has been made possible by the Edward D. Stone Jr. Friends Group<\/a>, a group of friends and colleagues whose efforts have preserved his legacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Edward Stone, Jr<\/a>., the lecture series\u2019 namesake, founded the renowned firm EDSA<\/a> (Edward D Stone Jr. and Associates), which has helped shape the practice of landscape architecture in Florida and around the globe. EDSA\u2019s work<\/a> spans urban design, parks and public projects, hospitality and tourism, campus planning, as well as commercial and mixed-use development.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the years, the firm has been a strong supporter of the department, reinforcing its commitment to the next generation of landscape architects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
