New Study on Living Shorelines Published by Dr. Jules Bruck in Frontiers of Environmental Science

Dr. Jules Bruck recently published her research article “Optimizing shoreline suitability models framework: integrating advanced GIS methodologies at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland” in the journal Frontiers in Environmental Science, which explores how bold, open science can restore ecosystems, empower communities, and tackle the planet’s most urgent crises.
The article serves as a GIS-based framework to enhance shoreline suitability modeling for living shorelines and hybrid nature-based solutions. The paper is a collaboration with Afsheen Sadaf, a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis who previously worked under Dr. Bruck as a Postdoctoral Research Associate.
