PROGRAM OVERVIEW<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The MSAS Concentration in Sustainable Architecture is a 36-credit post-professional graduate degree program that focuses on architectural design that makes a positive impact on the built environment, natural systems, and society.  A graduate of the program has the necessary skills, knowledge and approaches to advanced building science, building technologies, and regenerative design practices necessary to produce sustainable architecture and urban design solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program welcomes applications from both research and practice-oriented candidates with a professional degree in architecture. The program prepares students for careers as sustainability experts in architecture, construction, and real estate as well as other sustainability roles in the building industry, corporate firms, and academia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DEADLINES<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Applicants to the Master of Science in Architectural Studies (MSAS) degree programs are reviewed application twice yearly. Please submit all application materials by March 1st <\/strong>to be considered for the fall semester, or by October 1st<\/strong> to be considered for admission in the following spring semester.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will consider late applications received after these deadlines only on a space-available basis.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the application materials required by UF Graduate School<\/strong>, MSAS Concentration in Sustainable Architecture applicants should send the following items to the School of Architecture using the address provided below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Portfolio<\/strong>: Applicants should prepare a digital portfolio of previous design studio work, independent projects, and\/or related creative work. Applicants who have completed pre-professional degrees and are seeking admission into the Sustainable Architecture program should use your portfolio to demonstrate strength in conceptual design, critical thinking, and understanding of architectural conventions (including plan, section, elevation, three-dimensional diagrams, renderings, physical models, etc.). The portfolio is limited to ten (10) 2-page spreads. The preferred page size is 8 \u00bd\u201d x 11\u201d and the file should be saved as in PDF format small enough to be sent as an email attachment. The portfolio should be emailed to Jennelle Jacquay at jjacquay@ufl.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
