The Florida Architecture Archives at the University of Florida: The FAA was established in 2003 as a joint initiative between the School of Architecture and the Smathers Library’s Special Collections. Both partners invested consistently to advance the Collection in its initial establishment.
It provides a scholarly resource of preserved perishable documents of the architecture of Florida through drawings, plans, specifications, photographs, audio and videotapes, personal papers, records, art and models of architects, landscape architects, architectural firms, planners and associated professions. The Collection supports instruction through its undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels, and is open for research, with the objective of advancing disciplinary and transdisciplinary research. It documents the work and merit accomplishments of UF alumni.
