Parents: Information For You
“I often share that the greatest gift from my parents was the education I received from University of Florida’s interior design program. As a Principal in a multi market design firm, UF’s program prepared me for the many design challenges that my company is tasked to solve. I believe that because the program is within a multi-discipline environment, I have been empowered to understand the full dynamics of the built environment and its affect on the human experience.”

We welcome parents to hear about the program and see current student work by attending the annual Student Showcase. Parents are also invited to the Interior Design Awards and Recognition Ceremony held each spring to celebrate student awards and recognize outstanding alumni. Lastly, but definitely not least, parents are invited to celebrate at graduation!
ASID/IIDA Student Showcase
The UF ASID/IIDA Student Association is the professional association for interior design students at the University of Florida. This student chapter is unique in that it combines two of the most prominent interior design organizations- American Society of Interior Design and the International Interior Design Association.
Each April the students organize a showcase to share their design work with family and friends at the end of the academic year. Work from all levels of the program is shown, including recent pin-up boards from the sophomores. There is also a silent auction and raffle. Proceeds go towards the Passing of the Torch Scholarship for an upcoming senior interior design student and a local charity.
